The Benefits of Unrefined Hemp Oil
Feature Product: Tangerine Supreme Hemp Body Oil (cold-pressed, organic, unrefined hemp seed oil)
What is the difference between refined and unrefined oils?
Fats and oils go through a vigorous process in order to be pressed for public consumption and usage.
The process usually involves very high pressure and temperatures (over 200 degrees F).
This causes the oils to lose much of their beneficial properties and nutrients.
The higher the temperature in this process, the more oxidized, destroyed, or even toxic the oils become. These are refined oils.
Essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) are very sensitive to heat and any other forms of refining.. They are the very building blocks of life and aid in the construction and maintenance of a healthy nervous system and will help the body cleanse itself of toxic fats.
Our nervous system communicates with the rest of the body through electrical currents that travel through the fatty membranes of our cells.
The skin is a microcosm of the body having its own nervous system,
circulatory system and metabolic system.
Starflower only incorporates unrefined, food grade seed oils for the skin. The smaller the molecule the better.
Why hemp seed oil for the skin?
Hemp seed oil is nature's most perfectly balanced oil. It contains both W3s and W6s in the right proportions for long term use, and also contains GLA (gamma-linolenic acid, essential for brain health).
Hemp seed oil applied topically nourishes and replenishes skin function including the nervous system of the skin. Its high content of chlorophyll gives it a beautiful green colour and is an added benefit to healthy, glowing skin.
Hemp is also a natural pesticide so it can be grown without any synthetic pesticides, allowing for organic cultivation.
